The Shores at Land’s End was developed by Carolina Coast and Lakes, Inc., a North Carolina Corporation in 2003. It began as Phase One, which consisted of lots 1-54. Phase Two was started soon after in April 2004 with lots 55-251. Soon after construction began, the Governing Documents were published and notarized with the County, and we were incorporated as The Shores at Land’s End Homeowner’s Association, Inc. on June 24th, 2004.
Our community is located on the water end of New Hope Road in the Durant’s Neck area of Hertford, Perquimans County, NC. There are 251 lots in the community, including double lots, common areas, and what we call the helicopter landing area in the front of the community. This area is dedicated in case there is a need for emergency air transport of a patient within the surrounding communities.
There are many properties that touch water, including lots on the Little River, Albemarle Sound, and a unique canal that weaves its way in and around the interior of The Shores at Land’s End. There are also many lots with an abundance of trees, and for those that want a blank slate to start with, you can find properties that are an open field.
Currently, there are over thirty homes located in this beautiful community.
We are an HOA with a volunteer Board of Directors and active community committees.
